Thursday 13: In honor of Easter

I feel like I'm actually a week or two late with this posting, what with Easter being right around the proverbial corner. But, better late than never, right?

Here are 13 tidbits for your Easter stylings, from food to home decor to general info. I love Easter for all it symbolizes, both in the material and in the spiritual, and of course for its spring-festival qualities too.

In no particular order:

1. Aren't these just the cutest little planters? I found a bunch of egg-shaped designs and this one stood out to me!

2. Apparently bunnies are all the rage right now. For me, that's a "duh!" statement--bunnies have been on my cute radar for about four decades now! Check out this sweet bunny snow globe.

3. Easter brunch is a big favorite of mine! Check out some really great recipes from the LA Times food section. Yummy!

Tarragon cream poached eggs

Rosemary potatoes. So pretty!

Fresh greens with blue cheese fritter. Heaven!

4. These cut-away cakes have become all the rage. Check out this wonderfully decorated "hiding-a-chick" cake. Adorable.

5. What Easter table is complete with out a few finds at the glassybaby store?

Peony

Lamb
Dream

6. Bunny love, once again. Isn't this light just fabulous?

7. Nigella has got a few things figured out. Her kitchen collection is beautiful and simple. These pieces really say "Easter!" to me.

8. No posting could be complete without a little Etsy love. Here (top are some sweet Easter eggs from Catnip Studio Too. And another beautiful Easter egg example (bottom) from Nantucket Mermaid, another lovely Esty shop.

9. Also in an Etsy shop, Petit and Cute Designs, does it get any cuter than these egg cozies? And this little toy, whatever it is... bunny? bird? Whatever it is, it's just plain adorable! And how about that little cutie pie (bottom) from Heart Hooks. Who can resist those little eyes?

10. Possibly the most clever (and involved) craft idea I've seen this season, check out this amazing post by a blogger, Not Martha. It's a beautiful and very creative way to have candy-filled REAL and yet chocolatey eggs.

11. A wonderful food blog I follow, Good Things Catered, recently posted an Easter brunch menu. She has some yummy ideas!

And last, but definitely not least:
13. I have a dear friend of the Orthodox tradition who has taught me their wonderful greeting around the Easter season.
Person one: He is risen!
Person two: He is risen indeed.
I just love that, and exchanging those greetings with her at this season is especially meaningful to me.

Happy TT!
