Midweek reminder: There is so much sky beyond our roof

There are so many dreams beyond our nights, and so much sunshine beyond our gray walls. But we can't see it when we stay at home. There is so much sky above our roof. Is the door so old that it won't open, or are we at home because we're afraid of catching a chill? -Francoise Hardy

  1. We're Canadians here! And we are not afraid to get a chill! We don't wait for the weather to get better before we do what needs doing.

This morning it was sunny, so we went out to install a couple more windows. But the wind was pretty brisk... and I was up on the dormer roof trying to hang on and not lose my hat. Had to take it off as it would likely be in Navy Channel now if I hadn't.

But we got those problem windows installed and they look great. No one here is afraid of catching a chill... we're Canadians!

  2. Francoise Hardy must come from northern climes!

Love that photo. Isn't that beautiful?

Early this a.m. I saw two eagles circle over our bedroom skylights, they looked in and saw this lazy oaf still abed and they snickered to each other and soared away!! That was at about 6:45. So you see it is getting lighter earlier all the time, for which I am most grateful.

  3. I love the heart shadow on her arm. Forwarding this to Dave's daughter, because she needs some inspiration :-)
