Midweek reminder: Learning to love others more than we love ourselves
A-Z is over, and it was fun. Very fun. But it is also enjoyable to think about returning to some of my old blogging habits, and the midweek reminder is one of my favorites. I have quite a few tucked away to share in the coming weeks, but this one raised it's hand up from the drafts folder this morning and said, "Pick me! Pick me!"
“And so my prayer is that your story will have involved some leaving and some coming home, some summer and some winter, some roses blooming out like children in a play. My hope is your story will be about changing, about getting something beautiful born inside of you about learning to love a woman or a man, about learning to love a child, about moving yourself around water, around mountains, around friends, about learning to love others more than we love ourselves, about learning oneness as a way of understanding God. We get one story, you and I, and one story alone. God has established the elements, the setting and the climax and the resolution. It would be a crime not to venture out, wouldn’t it?” -Donald Miller
The sun is up, and my love for mornings and morning routines is running at about 100% today. I was just--moments ago!--standing in the kitchen, making my kale smoothie, stirring the oats, turning over Seth's egg muffins, watching the sun stream through some pretty grimy windows... and feeling very blessed indeed. Another day. What a gift.
Time to venture out! What does your day hold?

Lovely inspirational prayer and post! :) Congratulations on being a SURVIVOR of the A-Z! I've been lazily catching up on reading some of the blogs I follow. Just relaxing.
